Elizabeth attended Leeds college of Art, The Royal Drawing School and took an apprenticeship with celebrated Goldsmith Jocelyn Burton where she trained in design for jewellery and metalwork.

Drawing is a central medium within her practice, leading to all others. She works as a freelance designer in jewellery, metalwork, lighting, design for interiors and textiles, She has worked as an art director and maker for film, theatre, events and for other artists. She has a personal practice as a painter and multimedia artist and has exhibited nationally and internationally.

She is also experienced in devising projects with a moral, social and environmental outlook, this enabled her to set up an artist-led community focused project space: Red Door Studios E6
