Summer Open Day
We will be open on Sunday 29th July from 12 - 6pm
There will be a wire sculpture workshop with artist Di Jones from 2 - 5pm
The Red Door cafe will also be open from 12 - 6pm serving coffee, cake and other treats and there will also be an exhibition of paintings on show by resident painter Lucia Bonadies and visiting New York artist Ryan Bock.
The wire sculpture workshop is free, and is suitable for children accompanied by an adult and people of all other ages and abilities. Those attending can drop between 2 and 5pm and learn how to make a wire insect.
This event is a part of a wider project in which Red Door Studios and East Ham Nature Reserve have teamed up as a part of East Ham Arts Festival in order to create two site specific artworks made by local artists Ilsa Colsell and Liz Clough in response to the natural environment there. Those who have made a wire insect in the workshop may choose to take it to the nature reserve and display it alongside the new artworks there.
